As we celebrate 34 years, love never fails. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes for all things and endures all things. There will always be challenges in life, in relationships, in business and in everything that we do. When the foundation is love, it conquers it all. So today as we celebrate, I share a piece of our story that most don’t know…
We met in the magical land of #DisneyWorld! It was May of 1987, we were both seniors in high school. It was “Senior Grad night.” I’m from #PatersonNJ & he’s from #LakelandFl, so God had a plan. ❤️. He always does, know this.
It was in #FrontierLand standing by one of the log cabins that we met. He was with his friends and I was with mine. We immediately connected. We tried to hang with our friends, but eventually it was just us. He brought me ice cream, and he told me I was the first girl he had ever spent a dime on lol. We found ourselves at the concerts, dancing the night away and riding the rides in #TomorrowLand. None of this made since at the time, but we could never find our way out of Tomorrow land until it was time to head back to our buses.
We didn’t know that this was all God’s plan as we’ve truly been able to pioneer through the ups and downs, the gains and the loss, the challenges and the growth, our love has conquered it all.
Tomorrow land represented our life long journey together.
We left there, ran up our parents phone bills with MCI, as long distance was not free and we had the nerve to fall asleep on the phone almost every night.
That Fall, he went to the Army, I changed colleges to go to school in Texas near him. He asked me to marry him and I said Yes! That’s just the beginning of our story.
We all have a beautiful love story, but mine is my favorite! Love more, it conquers all! ❤️
